Writing is one of the simplest aspects of human life. One writes without thinking, a scribble here and there, a reminder jotted down on the back of a paper or words copied from a lecturer. It’s second nature.
So how come when we really want to write the most, our mind deserts us? You sit there pen at the ready on the verge of writing a novel that will rival even the likes of Harry Potter. And yet, nothing springs to mind. No mature how much you try, when you actively try to be a writer your imagination lets you down.
All great writers need a muse, some inspiration that really triggers a grand idea within the imagination. Something that really means something to you. This is what I strive to find. And I will continue searching for as long as it takes me.
Writers block. One of the most aggravating problems in literature.
